Just because you’re an adult, doesn’t mean you can’t learn!

Explore the other sides of yourself that you didn’t think you had, discover new talents and enjoy yourself along the way.

I teach all ages. The benefits of lessons are not restricted to children. You can enjoy the feelings of success and achievement when you begin piano lessons as an adult. You should absolutely fulfill some of those childhood dreams of playing the piano.

And most importantly, to have loads of fun!

As an adult you have the absolute power to focus on what interests you. We of course will be learning comprehensively and engagingly, but if something is not the path you want to go down then we can swap it in for something that you do want to do. Piano lessons for adults are great as we can discuss and plan where you would most like to take your learning journey.

Did I say loads of fun?

As an adult, you will also need a keyboard – as always, I recommend anything by Yamaha as it is a safe bet. The minimum you will want is an instrument with weighted keys or piano like feel. This will help with developing technique and avoiding potentially painful habits.

My philosophy on teaching revolves around learning what makes music function – harmony and improvisation. Pop songs provide an avenue in which to begin to analyse and understand music.
